a bit about me

At the age of four, my parents took me to the theatre to watch Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”. As the prologue began, the frame zooming in from the forest into the stained glass window of the castle, I was in awe. My mother says I turned to her and said “I wanna make that.” From that moment on, I knew would be an artist. 

Growing up in a small rural Canadian village, I didn’t have access to art programs, but I did have a pencil, sketchpads, and unfettered access to the internet. I gradually evolved from recreating comic book illustrations to creating my own characters for fandoms I enjoyed, transitioning from traditional art to digital as technology evolved. Animation has always been my greatest source of inspiration from that day in the theatre and continues to inspire my work today.
