Originally known as Goodfellow Apothecary, Thistle Rose Emporium was founded and operated by Evelyn Rose Goodfellow after she was created after she was diagnosed with several debilitating health issues that prevented her from working on a regular basis. In an attempt to keep herself occupied during numerous months on bedrest, she found a love for making jewelry, soap, candles and more.

Evelyn's wife, Aranda, lends her talent for art to bring all the beautiful artwork seen on labels, posters, stationary and more to the shoppe.

 

Evelyn started by selling at farmer's markets, and is slowly branching out into more large scale events- such as Renaissance Festivals and Conventions.​​

 

Each item is carefully handcrafted so to ensure that unique feel with a pinch of magic to your home. In 2023, Goodfellow Apothecary was forced to rebrand due to the restriction of the term "Apothecary" being a protective word in Manitoba for medical businesses alone. As a result, Goodfellow Apothecary became Thistle Rose Emporium & Curiosities.​​​
